2020 Charm City Comedy Festival Press Release

Charm City Comedy Project Produces Seventh Annual Charm City Comedy Festival

The Charm City Comedy Festival is Baltimore’s only all-comedy festival. We’re featuring improv, standup, sketch, and musical comedy, performed by influential comedians from across the country. The festival will again cover two weekends this year, and will include performances and workshops from April 29th – May 10th, 2020.

BALTIMORE, Maryland – January 1st, 2020 – In our seventh year, the Charm City Comedy Festival opened our submissions even earlier to allow for more diverse lineups. As a women-owned business, we’re still booking mostly female identifying headliners. And, as usual, #CCCFest2020 will host over 100 acts over 10 days and two weeks - dedicating the first week to improv and sketch, and the second to standup comedy.

The Charm City Comedy Festival, Baltimore’s only festival for improv, sketch, standup, and musical comedy, will take over Hampden main street - AKA The Avenue - from April 29th-May 3rd and May 6th-10th, 2020. Over two long weekends, we'll showcase headliners from prominent comedy institutions, including Houston's Station Theater, NYC's People's Improv Theater, DC's Laugh Index Theater, & MORE!

Events will include shows on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights on both weekends at the Charm City Comedy Project in Hampden. Our venue is the Lou Costello Room, otherwise known as the upstairs bar at Zissimos Bar, 1023 W 36th St, Baltimore, MD 21211.

Improv, sketch, and standup workshops will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, Sunday, May 3rd, and Saturday, May 9th at Zissimos Bar. Our instructors, highly respected minds with formidable talent, will come from all over the East coast to provide training for various levels and styles of performers.
